Miss Peltier here.
Welcome to Art! If you are reading this thank you for taking an interest in me. Here's some background on me. I attended Rhode Island College and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Art Education and a Bachelors of Art in Psychology. I began teaching in 2004 and have worked part time and many temporary positions. In 2014 I was hired at Thompson Middle School and have enjoyed my time here since. I look forward to inspiring students to be creative and express themselves while they learn the core fundamentals of Visual Arts. Students in my class should expect to take notes in their sketchbook and will be learning art vocabulary terms and demonstrating visually their meanings through sketching and completed artworks.
Grading in my classroom is broken down into 2 categories; Sketchbook work (30%) and Artwork (70%).
The Rubric for Artwork is divided into 4 parts for each grade level and are based on the National Arts Education Standards/Grade Level Expectations
